About
My name is Ishara Ramroop
As a Registered Psychotherapist with years of experience, I am dedicated to engaging my clients in a therapeutic relationship that empowers them to overcome their challenges and achieve their goals. My approach is integrative, meaning that I combine different therapeutic techniques tailored to the specific needs of each individual. I provide a compassionate and non-judgmental space for my clients to explore their feelings and behaviours. Together, we will work to improve your emotional well-being and enhance your overall quality of life.

As an Indo-Caribbean and first-generation Canadian, I bring a unique cultural perspective that enhances the therapeutic relationship. My understanding of the complexities of identity, migration, and cultural adaptation allows me to relate deeply to clients from diverse backgrounds. This cultural lens helps me foster a more empathetic, inclusive, and non-judgmental environment, which is essential for building trust and rapport. It enables me to be sensitive to the nuances of cultural values, family dynamics, and experiences of marginalization, ultimately promoting a more personalized and effective approach to therapy.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (RP) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. I hold several certifications and am trained in several therapeutic modalities listed in the “My Approach” section.
